Everything You Need The App Song Key Finder

Have you ever been listening to a song, or have a friend playing some chords and want to know what key the song is in? This app could help.

This little helper can be used to identify the key a song is in via several methods:

* Analysing live music via the devices's microphone
* Analysing a local audio file on the device
* A set of user-entered chords

All analysis is performed locally on the device, so doesn't use your mobile data allowance.

The results of a scan can then be saved to be referred to later if required.

If there is a song that changes key part way through, on the song detail page you can enter the chords, or analyse via the microphone while you play that part of the song.
Analyse live music, local MP3s, or a set of chords to find the music key

So this might be a slightly unfair review because I literally just downloaded it but I had it detect a song on my android 15 phone and while I'm generally unsure if it's accurate or not, when I hit the transpose button, nothing happened. Don't know if that's a paid feature but pressing transpose did nothing. will change my review if this gets fixed.

I use the live scan feature. It usually gives a minor key. Sometimes it's the relative minor to the major key that the song is actually in but other times the song is actually in the minor key. You have to figure that out on your own. If the song feels sad, it's probably a minor key. When it showed a major key, it was usually wrong. Stopping & scanning again would sometimes give a minor key & then what I said before applies. Every now& then it'll miss the key all together but not often.

ive been using this to sing my own songs into to see what notes and key my voice register, it was correct at the key. for this reason alone I would buy it, except... if you use the function for adding chords/notes/keys sections, there is no way to change or add a key without it being placed at the end. So if you messed up the first (like me) you have to delete and re add everything to get your order back. Make some changes here and i'd donate. not used it for known songs so cant comment.
